Evening and Part-Time Study
For
students who are unable to attend day classes on campus, Macquarie
University offers the option of evening studies in many disciplines.
The Centre for Open Education provides support for students who are attending classes on campus when the administrative and support areas of the University (such as the Student Centre and Division offices) are closed. The administrative staff of the Centre are also available for consultation during the evening and will assist with program planning and unit choices, and will also assist students by clarifying policy and rules etc.

Lecturers
often arrange to leave marked
assignments
at the Centre for evening students who are unable to call at the
Division office during the day to collect their papers.
A Writing
Skills adviser from the Department of English is available to see
evening students by appointment at the Centre. Individual attention is
given to the difficulties being experienced in writing essays and
tutorial papers, especially for those who are not recent
school-leavers, or whose formal education
was disrupted.
For services such as requests for academic transcripts and parking permits, interim receipts are issued and the forms passed to the Student Centre.
